Smith & Others Tasmania Feb 2021 Fence line
A metal stake nearly destroyed the auto on the Rangie (buried in a bog hole). 60mm of rain the previous day seemed like a good reason for a wheel. I have just had Haltech Elite 2000 ECU installed and wanted to give it a good test out. Super happy with the outcome.

Mid-winter couple of days away. With Covid-19 restrictions lifted in Tasmania a month or so back a few days on the West coast was in order. We headed down to Zeehan for a couple of nights via Ring River track and Montezuma falls track (reports said both were closed due to landslips in the area) This was not the case. The V8's loved it

Keith River road, Pinners Track, Coldstream River Track. We hit a number of roadblocks on Keith River road. A Bridge out at the northern end followed by a massive tree down 4 k past the Arthur River. Beaconsfield to Brushy Lagoon Tasmania 08-12-2019

Today we were led by Tim in his Navara D40. We started off in Beaconsfield and headed north-west to Bakers Beach with some great hill climbs and typically stunning Tasmanian views along the way. We finished off doing some tracks around Brushy lagoon that saw some great mud fun with lots of full noise. A great day out. please subscribe for more great 4WD adventures
Devonport Mine Track November 2019

Today we tackled a track we tried in the snow a few months ago. This is a great fun track with plenty of off-camber/steep sections. Definitely, need a well set up 4X4 and be prepared for some pinstriping. Well worth the time and effort. It took us around 3 hours for the 6 kilometres but we did take the harder lines for fun. Black Bluff Track Tasmania July 2019

We planned on traveling from South Nietta to The Devonport Mine site. 15km round trip. Unfortunately due to heavy snow on to of Black Bluff we only made it 2/3 of the way before having to turn back. The track starts at 300m elevation and hits 1000m before going down the other side to the mine site. Stunning country side with quite a difficult track when you can not even see it. Hope you enjoy

Two V8 Range Rovers @ Cobaw State Forest, Victoria, Australia. A great location for technical driving. Lots of challenges, Rock steps, steep climbs, off camber. Cobaw has it all. The weekend was dry. Cobaw in the wet can get pretty insane

King Lake Victoria. Had a crack at Little Boggy Creek Track and it was very slippery indeed. We all gave it a crack but ended up winching it. Great fun track 2 x Range Rovers and a Nisan Patrol (not a V8)

Feb 03/2018 Ellis Track Wesburn, Victoria. 2 V8 Range Rovers out for a few hours in the morning. Ellis Track is an awesome track that changes month to month. It was pretty dry on this day so we got through in a couple of hours. We both had to winch in one spot. It would be a whole different story if it was wet.

Wesburn, Victoria. Trying to get up a very very slippery hill that had just had 50 mm (2 inches) of rain. I think I should of dropped my tyre pressures a lot further

Number 1 vehicle needs to take a lesson on throttle control from number 2 vehicle. Sounds good, looks shithouse, especially when number 2 idles through the same shite.

to easy ..lock in the diff lock tractor go anywhere ...i crossed the mighty Fitzroy river in the kimberlies ,crock infested ...mud up to the doors and made it through with a large grup of black fellas cheering me on

@@dl6860 both of us have been doing some repairs and work has been hectic. We are planning on getting back at it in a couple of months and should be a busy winter wheeling this year

what model is this range rover? and does it has any diff lock mod on it ? if you can list the upgrades that would be great, I have a similar one and wishing for your advice, awesome video.
Both have diff locks. The mods you are after depends on budget and what you want to do. Changing form 10 to 24 spline would be a good start to upgrade.

Mate I love the vids and I have a RRC and I'm wondering what you do to make them handle deep water without the engine cutting out? do you have a special dizzy and leads? also the intake system what mods do you have . Cheers
hi mine is a 3.9 the best thing u can do is put a scorcher dissy in it and put hi temp bearing grease between cap and dissy to seal the together

Love the videos guys. What mean rigs. Been looking at one myself. Would love to know what the Maintnance is like on one these rigs see a lot of people boycot them but from you’re videos they seem to hold up well.
They do hold up well. BUT taking care of them and getting front of problems is the key. It’s not the cheapest hobby but we love it

@@nickmartin7967 to fit 33 with a 2.5’ body lift you have to cut the guards. More so with 35’s

You guys should post more, I cannot get enough of this channel. That rangie with the small block chev is a swap I've been wanting to do for a long time but have had to many projects.
@@cumminsfj4586 we try to get out every month but like most people work taking care of the house ect reduces the amount of wheeling we can do. We don’t post every trip if it’s boring. Where about a are you from?

In your opinion what makes the Haltech ECU better? Also what size tyres do you run and what brand? How do you keep the water out of your electrics when 4 wheeling? Awesome video guys, my absolute favourite on UA-cam watching Rangies 4wd. Also what engines are you running and any mods have you done. Do you have any of this info posted somewhere? I have a 94 Rangie soft Dash and doing it up. Just installing long travel shocks etc I got from Les Richmond Auto. So exciting to see Rangies beasting it 4 wheeling, you are obviously enjoying the move to Tasmania! Cheers guys.
I went Haltech due to water proof and easy to get tunerd. I run Westlake 315/75x16. A cheap tyre but perform well. Electrics grease to avoid corrosion and stop water getting in

The one with stainless snorkel is a 350 Vortec Chev. Other is a built 3.9 rover motor

What tyre pressures where you running? Or was it wetter than it looked? You made that look hard, I've done that track multiple times and even seen a express van on 31s get up it a couple of years ago
I think around 22-25psi. Not sure what it was like a few years ago. It’s a fun track and we do tend to try the harder line just to keep it interesting. It wasn’t that wet. We did do it mid year in the pouring rain and snow that made it a handful
@@V8RangeRoversGoingNutts yeah we tend to do the harder lines aswell, but we also tend to go 14-16psi on that track.
@@Dlawler if I run lower that 18 I tend to spin the rims and the Tyres stay sill. I’ve trashed a few that way. On occasion I’ll drop them further if required. It’s my last line of defense if I get well jammed up
